About George Waruru
As the group Chairman, Waruru is responsible for the Commercial business. In addition to overseeing the commercial office, Waruru focuses on market-facing transactional business and providing strategic real estate investments.
The commercial team provides the full range of transaction and consultancy services to institutional, private equity and real estate companies across all sectors including office, retail, industrial, leisure and occupier, as well as accommodation, healthcare, and other emerging sectors across the Kenya and global markets. Over the past year(2022), Waruru has personally handled transactions across East and Central Africa totalling in excess of KES. 200 million.
To achieve his mission of creating an ambitiously diverse business, Waruru has established a development board, dedicated to evolving a new strategy and focused on engagement, collaboration and agility. The four new critical areas the board has focused include oversing horizon-scanning projects designed to take the business forward in data and technology, and to make a positive impact within local communities
